Just wasted about 30 minutes going thru this tin, Looks to be about 20 perfect pellets in a 250 ct tin. At $1 a shot, I would much rather spend my money on upgraded components. I will definitely be filing for a refund on these. I have never returned anything to Amazon before, I have no clue on the process. Guess I will give it a try and see.

Well, on a positive note. I think the Venom is starting to settle in and like the Crosmans I already have. Not sure yet, I just picked up a new target hanger and targets. I dunno when I will get a chance to have some play time.

I just filed a return with Amazon, I am not even gonna try and have em replaced. I will stick with the 2 tins of Crosman Premier Hollow Points and Pirahnas I already have. By the time I get thru these tins I will know for sure its broke in really well and what to expect or not to expect from another choice of pellets.

Order from Pyramyd Air next time. A couple years ago I got 20 tins of JSB 10.34’s and half contained damaged pellets much like yours. I took pictures of the dented tins and deformed pellets and sent in a return request. An hour later I got a call from them to confirm i was the one who sent the email. Thirty minutes after that I had a return shipping label sent to my email. I sent the old pellets back and had ten new tins, all in a sleeve two day later. Sometimes it’s worth it to order right from the seller instead of through a third party like amazon or ebay.

Will do. If I end up still getting this oddball flier once I get this good and broke in I will go with Pyramid Air for high end pellets. I will however probably not be using the 15.89 gr JSB Diablos. I think I would prefer a lighter pellet, that is more stable and consistent. Maybe some RWS Superpoint Extra 14.5 gr

Spikes I hate to say it but cheap springers are like cheap scopes . Almost always its a disappointment. I would keep my eye out for a HW30 . They are incredible little guns and shoot effortlessly. No special grip involved …Just true it up and shoot tacks at 30 yards all day

Yeah you can pick up a used one for probably 225 or so . With AoA selling them new for 300$ shipped they are selling for less used . Keep an eye out for a nice used one . They aren’t powerful though . In springers if you get excessive power it comes with recoil and hard to shoot straight usually . Unless you spend a LOT more money

spikes problem sounds like scopes that don`t hold zero. My NVD eats scopes for beakfast, even airgun rated scopes. I bought a Hatsan Edge Vortex .22 (123 bucks to my door) and love it. Keeping it open sights permanently. The NVD is shooting well now but I am always afraid each shot will kill the current scope (came with the Hatsan).

Update, I am fairly certain my Venom was shipped to me with a dry piston seal. It is slightly noisy when cocking so I have avoided using it until I get some RWS Chamber Lube. This has also been said to up FPS by 25-50 FPS and lower the extreme spread. It is also supposed to up consistency.

The Euro and dollar are close right now so it’s your best bet for the best price on the HW30. They also carry many other air rifles and ship to the US.

Bobbed06, I let my NVD chamber dry out and lost my accuracy. Once I got some chamber oil in it accuracy returned. I hope that works for you.

Okay guys   yeah i ruined my    2  scopes but i do think the recoil is to bad on my phantom when you shoot your head like vibrates  and sounds terrible
il keep my eye out for a cheap hw30 when i get more money

Spikes, My NVD has killed three scopes so far. That is the sole reason I bought my Hatsan Edge Vortex. I has big time recoil but with out a scope it can kick like a mule (I dont feel it but it is pretty loud)  and I dont care. It is very accurate and will remain open sights. The NVD shoots well now but is super technique sensitive and pellet fussy. If I had known what I know now I would have sprung (no pun intended) for a Hatsan 95.

If you have no love for the gun then by all means get rid of it. If you aren’t having fun what is the point? I think it can be saved if you are willing to work at it. As long as you are sure of your hold and have tried a variety of pellets move on. Just don`t think all break barrel guns are like that, they are not.

I recieved my RWS Chamber Lube today. I gave it a couple of drops of lube and took a shot at my spinner set at 20 yards. I adjusted the scope accordingly and proceeded to achieve my best shot string I have ever put together in a single run with ANY of my current stable. I had so much fun I went thru 30 pellets before I knew it. I am very happy with the trigger, the feel, cocking effort, and the accuracy of my Crosman Nitro Venom Dusk now. I used Crosman Premier Hollow Point 14.3 Gr……

Thank You all who suggested lubing the chamber.
