Read some negative reviews about Walmart crosman pumpers falling apart and splitting in half.

Is this one of them problem Crosman guns and are these AR look alikes any good shooting at all?

I have been asked by a couple of friends and since I have never owned one of these I can't

give any opinions on it. They are obviously intrigued by the coolness factor to get for their

kids for XMAS. I would have recommended a traditional starter pumper but kept my comment to

myself in this instance regarding AR looking airguns for kids.

For the price I think it's not bad. Not likely to be super accurate, since dual purpose (BB and pellet) barrels have slightly large bore and groove dimensions in order to be BB friendly. There are a lot of "facade" parts on that airgun which may or may not be flimsy, and kids can be hard on beater guns, so the mix may not bode well as far as durability goes. Haven't handled on so I don't know.

As for the AR looking gun for kids... a gun is a gun. I'd have loved an AR replica had they been available way back when, just like we loved lever action replicas... the AR equivalent of the old west lol.
