Crosman 760 Pumpmaster Model 760X -- Review

It was a burr that turned into a chunk off what I believe is the hammer. Pulled it out after realizing the retainer was just a plastic clip in. Got some fine grit sandpaper, rolled it up and got the inner part of the metal tube it slides in, then smoothed the chunk on the hammer down. Some light WD40 and I'm back in business!

Full disclosure, while I had it apart I decided to clean the barrel. I used weed wacker line and cut my own patches from an old t-shirt. My wet patches are doused with a little WD40. Well, I got it stuck. Never using weed wacker line again.

I decided to reassemble and shoot it out. Lol. I stuffed it down the barrel with a wooden golf tee, then put a pellet behind it. Took me a few, maybe 10 shots, but I got it out and it seemed to make a difference in accuracy. I'm going to go through my JSB pellet sampler with the Pumpmaster. Here's the Exact, 8.4 gr.

These were the shots I took just before the cocking action jammed on me. I will re-do these Exact RS pellets to see if they're any more accurate after my "cleaning".
