Crosman 454

WOW! That was my first CO2 gun. 14? BBs as fast as you can pull the trigger. We had a cherry orchard and I would sit in a lounge chair and shoot starlings and grackles in the trees and off the overhead wires all day. I once shot over 400 birds in a day. My older brother thought he was the ship with his 760. He had the distance, but inside 20 yards I out shot him every time.

I had that gun until it was lost in a move in 1993. Only problem was the warped casting under the grip.

Wasn't sure I could find this site again. Hope you will see this.

Dad broke his 454 40 years ago. I have it now. Have attempted to refurbish it a bit. Carefully straightened frame, cleaned and checked parts without taking it apart much. Will need new set of seals, but it does at least shoot, about 8 feet. CO2 capsules about 45 years old. Trigger won't reset. New spring needed?

Please let me know your advice.

Thank you.

Craig

If anyone needs a little advice or help with a 454, give me a shout. I've done a few now and I'm addicted.
Yes I do please
I have a 454 with a new seal kit , but can not get CO2 capsule to be pierced .
Piercing screw and attached cup looks alright too!
A small dented point is visible on the capsule piercing place.

Appreciate any help.
Thanks
