Crosman 2200 Magnum resurrection ?

Hi all, this is my first post in any forum ever! Whilst clearing out my attic I came across my first ever airgun which I bought new in 1985 as a teenager from a shop in Manchester, the Crosman 2200 Magnum which (to my shame) I had forgotten about for many years. When I put my hands on this rifle again it reminded me why I started loving airguns all those years ago (all those memories of rat hunting in the woods came flooding back!). Long story short, this gun is in a sorry state. I did summon up the courage to dismantle it & attempt to give it a good clean & there doesn't seem to be anything damaged internally, it was a real pain in the arse to reassemble but I managed eventually with the help of a diagram from the Crosman website.

It was no surprise that it doesn't hold compression as the seals are almost as old as me but I would really love to bring this rifle back to life. I've managed to find a pump seal cup on Ebay as well as O-rings but I would also like to replace the receiver for a chrome one or something similar that looks nice. The icing on the cake would be a wooden stock but I've had no luck so far sourcing either of these.

If anybody has any advice or recommendations for me on renovating this rifle I would be eternally grateful!

Sounds like you and I had very similar begins. My first two airguns where a Crosman 2100 and a 1377 back in the mid 80's. I still have them both and they both still shoot too. They'll always remain my collection. Too many memories in those two guns to let'm go. hope you can get your old gun back in action. good luck!

Many thanks guys for all your comments. So far I have only fitted the new pump cup & it seems that it was the main problem as it's now shooting as good (if not better) as I remember back in the day, I'd forgotten how accurate it was with those lovely open sights, I really love this gun! This Youtube vid I found really helped me with re-assembly 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8x_M0s82EJc&list=PLEX6RZh2L9tja-zVbB9_Vp9M_aj7qBpYE&t=735s&index=8' although it's for a 766 the process is pretty much the same.

Thinking now that I'll clean up the barrel shroud & re-blue & leave the receiver as is for that well-used look and posterity of course.

I got mine back after my dad passed. Took it out to shoot after it set for 25+ years and everything was going fine the first few shots. Unfortunately, the bolt crumbled more or less to dust so it got to go back to resting a bit longer.
I bought a 2100 and pulled the bolt out of it to compare some measurements against what remained. Things matched up except for the magnet/probe/collar. Found a guy local who had the skills to model and print a new one for me. Was actually a good thing because I could have him make changes on the fly. Ended up extending the probe past the transfer port and oversizing the sealing collar so I could get a better fit. A sharpie took care of the rest.
