crosman 160 valve pin

. does anyone know where i can order this part ? does anyone know for sure if the qb78 valve pin will work well in a crosman 160 ? i have a japanese taiyo bobcat co2 rifle that is supposed to be a clone of the crosman 160. it leaks down thru the bore which indicates it needs a new valve stem . i have taken it apart , but mac1 rebuild parts are too hard for me to rebuild that valve pin with his 160 kit - it has to be just perfectly rebuilt. i ended up with a brand new beeman qb78 that i was gonna raid the parts from - but that chinese p.o.s. actually ended up shooting pretty good. i'm dying to find out if this legendary japanese steel is evident with their barrels, and the little bobcat has a good trigger too. - raneman .
 
Archer air guns has a 160 replacement valve, and the higher-power producing XP-Tuned version. Both should work and both will give more power. But the XP-Tuned gas valve is the best one available to fit the 160/167 Co2 rifles. I restomodded my 160 with Archer parts and it's a kicker now!

..thanx , yall..... i emailed rick (precision pellet) for some crosman 160 valve stems. i see archer has the valve stems for qb78 , but $18 ? may as well get the whole valve ($34) as shown above, huh ? ..nevermind - i just read that the valve stem will not work for a 160 valve , and this is a japanese clone of a 160 - so i may have to just get a whole valve, anyway.... archer does have the mainspring for the tech force 89 (remember those tech force 89 contenders ? they were shooting 820 fps in .22.) i cut down those springs to fit snugly in the .22 rws model 94 - generally gets around 777 fps with premiers if done right. hey, unionrdr , what velocity do you think your 160 is doing ? precision pellet resealed one for me and put a scope rail on it - damn thing shot 660 with premiers. that's like a benji 342 on ten pumps ! impressive. - paul.
