…just keep running patches lubricated with gun oil thru the barrel until the patches come out clean – and start over , fishinwrench…..gonna be 50-100 shots before it acts right , but sometimes i have to deep clean my barrels too.  usually when a perfectly good gun does that accuracy trip….   sometimes my hold is different….   – paul.

I went ahead and just ordered a new 14.5" barrel.   I'm not content with the way the rifling looks in this barrel.   The new one may be no different….but for 20 bucks, what the hell.

With 2-3" groups at 30 yards the gun is totally worthless as it is now.

The new barrel fixed it.  I'm back to sparrowhead sized groups.   Yay!

Rifling in the new barrel is much more noticable.  I'm confused about that….but whatever.

Glad that fixed it for you!  I had a ruger that was great until it wasn't.  Couldn't get any groups at all.  Gave it to my son, and in his hands it's back to decent.  Never sorted it out, just changed hands and improved 80 percent.  Go figure.

Now my Diana 48 is acting up and it's frustrating.  Still grouping at 25, but groups have consistently opened up……so irritating…..
