Crimson Trace 34mm 5-25x56 impressions

I missed the big sale but found one locally NIB for a great price. It’s now sitting nicely on a wildly accurate Uragan. : )

This scope is an incredible bargain at these sale prices. Quality is extremely good, clicks are solid and accurate and the glass is gorgeous... slightly better than a Frontier 5-25x50. ( I love the Frontier, but this is is my new favorite). I’m tempted to buy the 4-20 with the 30mm tube... which I prefer over the 34mm gor $450.

My only complaint is that I wish it had more elevation. My 20 MOA mount and a shim solved this issue. Picture shows the homeless Frontier for comparison.

Get the 30mm version before they are gone, best 450 dollar scope you can possibly buy.

BTW, hit up @elis5173 for some custom made focus wheels and throw lever, so much more better! Even at 12x the parallax is very precise and sensitive so the wheel is a huge help.

I’m half tempted to get one of the midway one for backup but I got way too many scopes already! It’s all odoyle’s fault!!!!

I got one of the Crimson 34 mm scopes , Way to much scope for my little 48 yard range . Oh well I will have to just make do. I mounted it on my 25 caliber Prophet, Dam good scope for the money,,,

Amazon is waiting on stock for that Xmas tree reticle model at same price as Midway. I don't know what Crimson was thinking on that LR1-MIL Xmas tree reticle. A very hard to see white center dot and absolutely nothing above the center line. Nothing in bold anywhere towards the outside etc. I wish they had the 34mm 56mm model left but Midway took those off "coming soon" and completely removed the scope from the site. What a difference a reticle makes in popularity.

What version of Hawke 5x25x50? Is it the new H7 optics?

And I don't think those are right.... 80 Mil elevation

To give a perspective the Arken SH4 with a 34mm tube also has 32 mils and my Tract Toric (30mm tube) has 20....

I'm curios to know if: one, is there an official place to see the specs of the scope, two... what's the actual elevation range on this scope... You are mentioning it's not a lot, but I was expecting to be decent given it has a 34mm tube.

the 34mm version supposed to have 120 mil internal adjustment, think it’s a misprint. Or not exactly sure what they mean by internal adjustment. however 120 MOA is 35 mils which is about right because the 34mm version has about 3.5 revolutions or 35 mils.

The 34 mm does have a little over 3 full revolutions of 10.
im hoping the Xmas tree reticle )LR1) isn’t too bad... I’ll report back on it next week.
the MR1 reticle is fantastic.
