Crimson Trace 3 series

I just got mine in and its a big scope, All my other scopes are 30mm tube, The 34 mm tube looks big,,,

I got my scope mounts ordered but looks like Tuesday before I get them, 34mm scope mounts wow,

I bought this scope to mount on my new AGT Vixen , I my be rethinking that, Heavy scope on a light gun,

Oh what was the question, Reticle thick? Reticle looks ok to me, but my eyes are not the best.... And its just hard for me to look through a scope not mounted on a gun, Back to the bad eyes, I will be testing the scope against my Viper and Athens scopes ,,

I received mine yesterday and I’m about to do a comparison between it and the Arken SH-4 Gen2. The picture makes it look quite larger than the Arken because the CT is closer to the camera. I won’t be mounted anytime soon, I forgot I had loaned my 34mm alignment and lapping kit to someone and will probably just order another one.

Depends on exactly which scopes you are trying to compare to, like which Athlon?

When I am curious about this, I pull up the reticle on the company’s website to find out. (This is important to me too.)

I pulled up the MIL reticle for the Crimson 3 and its says it is 0.05 MIL. Some of the Athlons I’ve used are at 0.03 or 0.04 MIL, as well as a Vortex I looked at. That being said it “could be” thicker than some others you have tried.

Never loan out tools that you ACTUALLY expect to get back.

THats why I like to order from Midway great customer service, I put my scope away in the top of my closet until my rings get here Tuesday.

I ordered my rings the same time I ordered the scope off A. Prime , Go figure, Midway had some fast shipping, They did charge me tax.

oh well its all good.

Mike

Are you on the same state they operate? If that is the case that's why you are charged sales tax.

Is this a trick question?

No no trick question, just letting @airgunmike56 how online business operate, if you buy from out of a state you don't pay taxes, but if your address in on the same state where the online business is operating then you will pay sales taxes... it also depend on the business, some businesses don't charge you the taxes but they will need to add that amount on the products because they need to report it.

Maybe that's explain why the shipment was so fast, for me (FL) it's taking a few days, my experience was the other way, my rings are here and I ordered those from Amazon the day after I ordered my scope, but the scope will arrives next Tuesday.

I've been learning a lot about this while opening my online store
