I love Kalibrgun Crickets. They are really good PCPs that are great platforms for tuning and power. Wanted to freshen things up a bit with 3 of my Crickets so, a mashup was in order.
Took and .22 Standard Pup, .22 Mini and a .25 Pup and threw them in the blender. They are all done and tuned but still have finishing touches, e.g., shrouds/silencers, carbon fiber tube and some finish touch-ups.
Sold my 9 year old’s Prod and so the first one done is the .22 Super Compact. It’s shooting the 15.9s & Hades at 880 fps for 50 shots on a fill. It’s tiny and he loves it. I do too as it’s fun and accurate. The Tanto is a great fit for it. The M14 X 1.25 threads right to the Cricket barrel. With that said, with the set-back on the Cricket barrels before the threads start, if using a Tanto or Koi, there is a bit of work to do to open required clearance for the set-back. 1/2” bit and dremel took care of it in short order. Sounds great and backyard friendly.
Next is the .25 not so Mini. I have it shooting the 33.95s at 890 fps for 36 shots on a fill. I still have to install carbon fiber tube over the barrel. Some won’t like this transformation but I’ve basically made an improved version of the .25 Cricket Carbine in my eyes. Powerful and accurate package. The Sumo threads right on with no mods and does an awesome job.
Lastly is the .22 HP Pup. She is tuned to shoot the 25.39 RD Monsters at 895 fps for 45 shots on a fill. The accuracy for this gun is just stupid good. I need to have a custom shroud made before I unveil this guy.
Here is the Super Compact and the .25 Mini. Excuse the Mini as it’s barrel is bare, lol. She will get a sweet CF tuned installed over its barrel soon and I will share its new look then.
