Cricket help needed

So as title says I got a cricket and I need help. The gun was power tuned in 2017 by Charlie Frear. I was able to turn hammer spring back some and get 880-900fps with .25cal 25grain jsb with a 20-25es across 10 shots. Here is where I need help. the first shot is 880 and all the following shots are 895-905 till I reload the magazine and the gun sits for a few minutes then it does it again first shot is always 20ish FPS slower then the rest unless I let the gun sit for a while between each shot. So I rebuilt the regulator thinking it was creeping up as it sat and after a rebuild with new O-Rings it does the same thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated 
 
There are some very informative vids put out by Ernest Rowe, he goes into great detail with the Cricket. These with Edguns were his bread and butter guns prior to his FX employment. You might want to take a look at his vid on polishing and tuning the reg. A .22 Cricket that Ernest worked on had a variation of 7 fps over 3 mags with the same velocity coming up better than 20 times. I got my 25 at a 10 fps max spread for 3 mags. With that said I suspect the problem is a dirty regulator. You will need a 27 mm socket to take the gun down, you also have to modify the socket on a grinding wheel so it fits. With the current shipping costs and tuning charges, learning your guns is a desirable skill.

Talking to Charlie would be a good thing to do. You could also look at your hammer and the spring and give them a good clean up. You could have some old grease or scrap in there that could make your hammer to stick. just an idea. Count the turns as you unscrew the back adjuster. That should set you up in the ballpark of your previous velocity.

Doesn't cost anything of checking that at no risk too

If I had to guess it's more cause your regulator pressure is much higher than necessary for shooting in the 890s with the 25.39gr. I believe he tunes the 34gr to shoot that fast.

^^^^ Pretty sure Dairyboy nailed it. 

Maybe a smidge of reg creep. But once you lower your reg pressure you'll be able to lean on the hammer spring a little more and tune it out.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. When I took the reg out it had hand written on it 128 bar. I took the reg apart polished the spring washers on both sides and the shaft they slide on like a mirror watching Ernest Rowe’s video. then I cleaned everything extremely well and very very lightly lubed everything and reassembled with new O-Rings. When I pulled it out the overall length was 2.111” when I put it back together I set it back to 2.111” and went 1/8 turn in trying to lower the reg pressure a little. I don’t have a reg tester so I’m kinda just guessing at the pressure. but I’m thinking it’s just creeping a little if I shoot wait 5 seconds and shoot for the whole mag I get a very low es except for the first shot. I may need a new seat for the reg It does have a pretty good groove in it where it seals on the reg

hi Sean, I see that you are trying to tune it to a lower power than it was set up for so I believe Dairy Boy is correct that it was setup to shoot at a higher power. Charlie had set it up to shoot the 25 gr AA at 950 fps and I was shooting the 34 at 925 or so and never had a problem with it. The 25's would go over 1000 and the 34's 980 or so if I turned in the adjuster. I never tried shooting it as low as you have it set so it makes sense that the reg is probably set too high and the adjuster is backed off too much for what you want.
