Cricket and Vulcan 2 Tactic for Christmas

Hi guys … Hope everyone had as big and joyous a Christmas as we did and that the feelings of wonder at the miracle of it all will stay with you always. I know a lot of you guys have either a Cricket or a or a Vulcan Tactic or both and was hoping that someone could direct me to a place or YouTube video or anything else that would help me better understand the inner workings of these fine airguns. I got a chance to shoot them both after cleaning the barrels and they are amazing with some of the best triggers I have ever felt on a gun right out of the box … these are both keepers, but I want to be able to work on them if need be … sooooooo if anybody can direct me to a place where I can educate myself, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance.

Yeah … I guess I am indeed Spoooooiled ... in more ways than one … but I have looked at Ernest's videos and I want MOOOORE. These babies are fantastic and I wanna know everything about them, but so many of the videos on them are in a foreign language, every once in awhile you can find one that is subtitled in English and can half way make out what they are saying, but it ain't as much fun as when you can understand what they are talking about. They are both in .25 and while I was putting the Tactic on paper a squirrel hopped up on the log I had the target on and guess what happened next. I mean right ... smack ... dab ... dead between the eyes at 70 yards … didn't even twitch. I mean Nightmare on Elm Street didn't have that much blood … darn near ripped his whole head off. That Tactic is gonna be a keeper for sure with groups doing a half inch at that distance … that freakin' thing is outshooting my Impact, Wildcat, Edgum R5m, Marauders and Cricket … although, to be fair, the Cricket hasn't been given a good trial yet so she can show me her potential, but from what I have seen so far it may be more accurate than what I have giving it credit for. I may be my own worst enemy because I have this crazy penchant for wanting to stretch these things out as far as I can get them, but I guess that's part of the fun with airguns … or for any other gun, for that matter.

Thanks Stoti, that sounds like what I may be needing. Can't figure out what they were trying to accomplish with the owners manuel … it has pictures and numbers of parts, but nothing to tell you what the name of the part is or o-ring sizes or much of anything. They tell you to clean the gun regularly and lubricate all moving parts but don't tell you how to go about doing it. I mean you start taking an air gun apart and if don't do it in the proper sequence, you could run into trouble in short order. Maybe this will help … love this Tactic … just cleaned the barrel and was figuring that I would have to season the barrel to get it back to zero after the Ballistol and patches and guess what … put the first 20 shots right on zero and it held for all of them … I've NEVER had a gun do that!!!!

Ernest is the one To go to with both these fine rifles. Give him a call he’s always willing to help a airgunner out. If you need his number PM me.

I just finished lapping my barrel on my Vulcan2 in .25. Cal. After replacing barrel and resighting it in , I was surprised that it was only 1/2” off. My best group so far at 50 yards is .320”. And AGT stands behind their guns 100%

"AGT stands behind their guns 100%" … does that mean that I could send it back to Talon Tunes to have any warranty work done (because that's where I bought it" rather than sending it to the Czech Republic.

I have dealt with Ernest before and he has been great working on both my Impact and Wildcat … I saw some stuff on his web site where he was doing work on the Vulcan but I believe that was a Vulcan 1 not the Vulcan 2 and apparently from what I was able to understand (from a foreign video) there is quite a bit of change between the two guns.
