Cricket .25 with NSA 29 gr slugs = EXPLOSION

Sorry no pics .

Last nite I had a few minutes to kill so I ran out to a close farm to try out these new slugs. I Have a power tuned Cricket .25 and just got in the new Nielsen 29 gr slugs. These slugs are a thing of beauty and I finally got my Cricket dialed in with them for now. Still need to do a little more experimenting and see how they shoot at farther distances. Right now it is slinging them at 975-980 fps

Anyway I was hoping a pigeon or two would be hanging around but no such luck. However there were the sparrows and a few starlings. As soon as I exited the truck I spotted a starling about 30 yards away sitting on top of a light pole. I lined up the shot leaning against the door frame of my truck and let one fly. Holy Cow! What an explosion of feathers and a loud pop. Unfortunately it fell onto a roof and I couldn't recover it. It was instant "lights out". Only bad part is that the pop was so loud it scared off all the other birds! I think I'm going to like these slugs.

!

I have 500 of the same slugs.

I will bump up the velocity on my Impact to your successful speed and see if my accuracy matches yours.

Thanks for posting.

Oh yeah. What barrel does your Cricket have?

I'm pretty sure it is a LW barrel. From pushing slugs through it, it doesn't have a real tight choke. It is very accurate with 25 gr Air Arms pellets and does real good with the JSB MKI 34 gr. I started out with the velocity around 800 fps and would shoot 3 then turn in a half turn and shoot 3 more, etc. When it tightened up I shot it over the chrony and was surprised to see they were going 975-980, but that is where it seemed the most accurate. I did shoot a couple at 60 yards while I was at the farm into an old block and they were basically touching each other, And that was with me leaning on my truck. Oh and I did lube these with Slick 50.
