I took my grandson squirrel hunting again this morning. He shot a fox squirrel with his .410 but it took off so I finished him with a shot to the head from my Cricket .25. I'm running the NSA 29 gr at 975 fps. It was devastating to him. Shot went in lower left side of head and stopped on upper right side by neck. The slug expanded very nice and the squirrel dropped like a rock.
Btw, I found two bb's in his back end from the .410 so I told Mason it was his. Lol.
The next one was at a running grey squirrel through the body. Blew his guts out but it took five minutes before he died and finally fell so I could recover him. Think I'll stick to head shots.
I just love that sound of those slugs hitting a squirrel.
