Cricket 25 cal valve spring

Im planning a head to head comparison between my 25 Cricket and my 25 Veteran Long, Cricket is shooting the Kings @ 915fps and the Veteran shooting the MK2s @ 920fps. I already bought the plenum from Ernest, now I need to get a lighter spring valve, any clue where can I get it from besides Charlie F. I know it requires more modifications to boost up the power like porting the firing valve, more pre load on the hammer spring, elongate TP on the barrel. Any info where to get a lighter spring valve will be much appreciated! Thanks.

How fast are you trying to go with the Heavies? To get to 920 FPS with Mk1 Heavy all you need to do is install the plenum and increase the HST (use a metal HST adjust) to get where you want. I had one I bought used but was practically new just a few months ago. It would shoot the Mk1 better than the Mk2, both at 920. And the Kings at about 1015 FPS. No porting or other springs required. The only real reason to do anything additional is if you want to shoot heavy slugs.

FYI, a lighter valve spring will have no meaningful influence on tuning for higher power. For example, a very strong valve spring might be holding the poppet closed with 10lbs of force, whereas the air pressure is typically applying closer to 100 - 150lbs of force.

Larger porting will have the biggest influence.

Also, note a lighter valve spring will reduce the usable pressure range on an unregulated rifle. On a regulated rifle, its role is pretty insignificant assuming you're adjusting the hammer spring tension to achieve the desired velocity.
