Crazy add on the classified

Yep, he surely posted 10 meaningless posts ("yes, agree" "nice setup", etc) before he dumped the Talon SS setup on the forum classifieds. Even if legit, it's not a nice thing to be a "user" vs a contributor first..

On other forums newcomers can only post every 40 minutes or 1 hr until they reach a certain number of posts. This prevents a flood of comments and questions before the person even had time to read the rules and understand how things work.

This is where time is your friend. I have been a contributing member for 4 1/2 years and protect my reputation as a buyer ; seller ; poster. If I offer something for sale or make an inquiry, I want to be taken seriously and the other person to be comfortable dealing with me. Unfortunately, the world is full of scum that makes us all uneasy.

The scammers are starting to catch on quickly. "Not saying he is one.. but in general. I feel that something new has to be implemented by admin to catch these guys red handed. Wish it was that easy but I know it's not. Especially with VPNs and such these days. Just have to do your own research to make sure your not had.

And the Judge said "Bring that guilty man in here so we can give him a fair trial and then hang him". He posted a lot of photo's taken in his house. He is willing to use PayPal. Did anyone PM him and ask for his phone number? He did not ask you to pay another person. Just because he posted a bunch of nothing replies to qualify to sell does not make him a scammer. He may have been referred here by another member because he had something to sell but will become a great contributor to the forums. If you are suspicious, don't reply to his add.

I agree with CharlieF, what if the guy is ok and reading this thread...that would be too bad. I like the idea of a fee to place your add. Maybe it would be too difficult, but what about the fee being fairly steep, and then most of it refunded to the seller after the transaction goes well. I’d be happy to deal with a fee if it would help stop scammers.
