Coyote Hunting with Airguns

Hey everyone, hope the New Year has been well so far. I've been busy filming as usual, heading out the door again soon. Last week I invited my good friend Jon onto my channel to discuss his recent successful Coyote Hunt. I asked him to go over the kit he used as well as a few tips that could help all of us. Aside from showing some of his gear he walks us through that hunts play by play. Hope some can find this interesting and informative. Cheers

Happy New Year Dana. Seems like you have been keeping really busy lately. Doing what you love...Good for you bud. I’ve never shot a coyote with an air gun but we’ve got so many around our house, howling and barking every night and early morning, maybe I need to. The video got me a little fired up. Another good video. Thank you.

Stoti

Thanks for another great video Dana! I've got the Slayer all tuned in and ready for the song-dogs here as well.

@stoti you should get after them coyotes if they are that prolific around you. They will take down the population of all the game, including deer. Recently, my dad had two decent sized bucks half eaten because they sat overnight, so we are culling the population of the critter's now that deer season is over with.

Coyote Hunting with Airguns: Hey @Crosman999 great video. Thank you for your post. That's exactly why I bought the new Edgun Leshiy 2 air rifle (semi-auto to hunt coyotes). I was introduced to these guns by Tim over on the Edgun Leshiy channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnCulw0bfR4

And by Brian at Edgun West. I've been considering the Tacticam system, but I have to be extremely careful/accurate considering eye relief distance...

@Crosman999 Informative vid. Love the detailed instruction, especially the bit about getting a lay of the land, ranging, and adjusting your scope before starting your calls. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering, when shooting smaller calibers how does shooting into the wind affect your shot with no more than say 15-20 mph gusts? What sort of sighting adjustments does this situation call for (if any)?
