Targets Corrugated poster board!!!

Just a helpful hint. I use CORRUGATED poster board for my target backing. I have one 24"x 36" backing that I've used for at least 4 years now. The little plastic "compartments" that the corrugation creates keeps big chunks of the posterboard from being blown off the backing. Works great & found it by accident (promo poster for a concert that I removed after the concert date). Since then I use nothing else. Very light, very durable. Even if you get large holes from (hopefully) hitting the bullseye a lot, just slap a piece of duct tape over it & you still have a solid backing.

That’s what I use. I bought a 4x8’ sheet for around 16 bucks at a sign shop. Cut it into 24”x24” pieces. Build a stand from pvc with the height you like, with the frame to hold the board, cut some slots in the top and bottom of the board and slip in some of the Velcro that sticks to itself, insert in the slots to hold it to the pvc pipe and you have many many target backstops.

Hopes this makes some sense

I called a local sign shop back in the spring and they wanted $90 for a 4 X 8 sheet.

After political elections, I collect all the campaign signs (corrugated plastic ones) in public intersections and easements I can find for backers. Come complete with the wire stands and they’re FREE! Be careful not to take from private properties without permission. Could get you in trouble. All campaign signs are required to be removed from public areas after elections so why not take that to your advantage?
