CONDOR MODs

I am still playing with the .25 condor, I feel that I have strengthened the frame. The Wokguard is a fine start adding the full bridge in the weak area. Tactical rail is another bridge even though AF has added the 3 rd scope rail post. I have the wider barrel bushing and added 2 more and still allows the barrel to flex as it should. An over kill was adding the extra tactical rail to the forward frame barrel hosing rail.

Prior to and during the mods I did make a fully bedded full stock. I liked the feel of the stock and the work of fully bedding did do its job.The stock supported the bottle well. Adding the rubber bumpers to the rear V area helps the mottle movement and absorbs any recoil. In .25 I did notice the frame flex where a in the .20 I did not.

For testing I removed the FANG stock and went back to the factor furniture other than the UTG pistol grip. I like the set back and grip of these grips plus with the Wokguard take an AR 15 GRIP. The removal of the stock took weight off the build. Not that matters for a bench gun. My Condor dress even as it is now is a heavy gun. TT full shroud doe its job.

I went down the slug road. Bought a new barrel and cut the choke out of it and put an 11 degree crown on it. Played a little with the slugs but realized that I was not going thru all the things I have done before on finding the correct size and more was not worth it for my needs. But this barrel shoot pellets as well as my choked barrel. So sold the non choked barrel and went back to pellets.

After looking at other ways and products offered for attempting to stablize the bottle and help in the rear butt pad I came up with a mod that seems to work. It is a rigid constructed out of aluminum and the attachment is real simple. Being the UTG GRIP HAS A COMPARTMENT WITH A SLIDING grip cap I used that area for and attachment. The other end attaches to the bottle clamp. In the picture the rear is not yet attached.

I have an older plain Talon that I have build into a 24" .20. Enjoying this build very much. Here I have learned about the many valves that have been used over the years and do see the changes over the years to these guns. On this project I have gathers many extra used parts and in the end will have enough to build another TalonSS with a 18" barrel in .22. I do have a new .22 24" barrel I could use but the ideal is to sell this build to help fund the .20 project.

The AF guns have really taken me by surprise with the design. AF guns never really were of any interest during my deep DARKSIDE adventure. RAW, FLEX, Theoben, Daystate, Marauders and EVANIX were my main guns of choice.

Attached is just a few PCP guns I had at one time plus the picture does not include all I had at that time. Yet all these have moved on to new homes.

Nice protects .. I have a few my self 2 with Doug noble valves in .223 n .257 both 30" barrels. one I recently finish regulated with a 18" barrel it shoot. 25g at 940fps.im working with a machinists to have a shroud made. It is treaded the donny's are not enough not even the ronin..for a really quiet gun you need a shroud. I have made it my self n you think the gun is broken now I need to have them made in aluminum. I like them because I could work them my self no need to ship them to have them fixed. I sell everything else now I only have my airforce n crickets that I have lern to work to recently was able to purchase all the tools I needed to work on the crickets a gauge removal tool -- a regulator removal tool -- a regulator pressure tester n a degasing tool..with the kind of shooting I could do with those platforms there's nothing in the market now I put my money on..a few months ago I buy 2 texan but don have time to work on them right now..

I never managed to shoot well my .25 in 24" that why I converted to. 257 ..the .25 in 18" shoot great but sold it to..now I buy a tj liner in .250 for my regulated buid..the build have the rim lock valve. It really is a great tunable valve..all 3 have wocguard n a large picatinny rail it really helps stiffer the frame..as for the bottle I added another set screw on the other side..my .22 n .177 barrel those have worked great will try the .20 soon it looks like a good caliber to play

I am a .20 fan for many years. The new Condor out if the box with the 24" .20 barrel needed nothing but the .145 TH.

The .25 24" barrel imo changed the gun. But after frame stiffening the gun is s tac driver.

My Older Plain Talon has a high flow older valve with the TT valve stem with one of his inserts drilled to close to the .140 size. Condor spring and hammer weight. The gun has made for a nice shooting .20. Shooting the 14.3 at around 980 to over 1000 depending on the pw setting.

So far on it no frame stiffening. This gun is still in test mode but power and accuracy is good. It does have the E-TAC Bottle drop which I found to like.

Many thanks‼️

That stock is an SKS Choate. With Choate being 8 miles away I took the gun down there and went thru his inventory and found a stock I could work. Over the years I have done many converisons.

The stock making is posted here on the PCP group. That was a $25 blem. Choate does not list Blems for sale. But I can buy them as you see cheap.

It made for a real nice fit and feel. Rock solid. In my testing I went back to the factory furniture to see if all my stiffening might have worked with out the stock. And it seems it did. I may go back with the full stock.

Project .20 is in the test mode and I have another project .22 in a talon SS frame with all Condor upgrades other than I'm still using the old style trigger set up with the 1st super sear. On the older guns the super sear works good.

I have worked some improvements to that sorry safety. I removed the safety on the .20 and it work well for a while but ended up not locking the hammer? Looked the set up over and replaced some parts but still then some times lock and then not.

Ended up putting the safety back in and it locks? Not sure what the deal was but the safety sear put tension on the locking sear or lever to hold the hammer.

I moved to the hills of Central Arkansas 2 years ago. Love the country life and can shoot any gun I have included are PB's.
