For a while I've been looking at the RWS 34 carbines and thinking that I'd like to have a carbine length 34. I thought, now that would be a really neat, quick handling rifle to have. But I noticed the only ones I could find any where out there were .177 cal. Number one.....I didn't want a .177, I wanted a .22 cal. Number two....I didn't want to buy another 34. I already had two of them, both in .22. So I ended up finding a brand new .22 cal Pro Compact carbine length barrel with the muzzle break. It's been nearly a month and I finally found the time to do a barrel swap today. Turned out looking really good I think. The barrel is 15" vs the 19" standard barrel. I darn well think I'm gonna like it. I shot it with and without the muzzle break and haven't made my mind up on that yet. Whether to keep it on or off.....all depends on which way feels better to me shooting off hand. The verdict isn't out on the accuracy yet either. I'll have more time later to try more pellets and I also plan on swapping the scope out as well. It's also a new barrel....needs more lead put through it. But, today it was shooting groups a little larger than a quarter at 25 yards using CPHP 14.3g. Thats not great, but it was still in the "minute of squirrel head" range. I'll test it more on another day. I think it'll do much better. Anyway......take a look!
