Compact Air gun

Idk if you want a pistol but the mrod air mk2 aka pp700sa is only 200 dollar or less (I paid 189 for mrodair mk2) .22 caliber with minimal adjustments you can easily achieve 18.89 fpe with 14.3 gr chp pellets the pistol isnt pellet picky at al it shoots everything I have fed her quite well. I just have a red dot on mine but I can shoot out to 30 feet and hit half inch spinners no problem. squirell only need about 5 fpe to kill on average with good shot placement so this pistol would def do the job it shoots around 14fpe stock from factory and there is an aftermarket folding stock from snowpeak airguns who designed the gun on its way to distribution centers but i don't know when it's supposed to hit the usa if you wanted a carbine like setup. Oh and you can get around 30 shots give or take based on power of tune.

Leshiy: con- it is only a single shot, pro- it is super light and folds to 12 inches.

Maurader pistol: con it is unregulated and under powered, pro- it is cheap.

Lelya 2.0: con nothing. pro- it has everything, light weight, powerful, compact (23 inches) magazine fed, high shot count, magazine storage...ect

What he said.

I've owned all three and still own the 2 Edguns. If you can live with a little bigger backpack the Lelya 2.0 is the way to go. Much better shot count in .22 than the Leshiy and the Lelya is a 10 shot repeater.

I am also in Illinois and had this same question.

It seems everyone loves the Leshiy, my only concern is the single shot for $1,400 and the shot count? What kind of shot count are you all getting out of yours? Please state pellet brand and weight along with average velocity.

The Lelya as well looks like a very nice gun but whats the shot count on this one as well and what kind of energy are you getting with what pellets?

Has anyone had any luck with the FX Verminator or Verminator Extreme? I know this gun is a little longer but when broken down it would be pretty short and I'm positive the shot count with the 400cc or 500cc bottle would outperform any of the others in this aspect. Again, I know this gun will be a little bit longer once put together but would be great as a pack gun and could be used when going out just to hunt with as well or plink with plus you would have the added wow factor of the arrow barrel. I was wanting to get the Verminator Extreme and then get the 12" Barrel that comes on the standard Verminator to complete this package and have a short pack gun that all you would need to add is the stock and have the added power generated out of the 19" Barrel when out in the field strictly using this gun for hunting.

Anyone have any other thoughts on this? I am looking to add a pack gun to my Collection of an FX Impact .22 and Benjamin Marauder .177.

My Leshiy with a .177 350mm longer barrel is shooting 10.3 jsb heavies at 900 fps for 35 shots with the Huma Regulator in it,,,,with the John Hagan External cylinder as pictured it goes up to 60 shots per fill. 29" oal length,,,,folded in this configuration it is 19". Can easily be put into a backpack and can change calibers in a heart beat.Never have i owned such a versatile air rifle.I have a full size Optisan EVX 4-16x44mm and i still find it very compact,,,,with a smaller scope and without the barrel extension its even a smaller package.

Kdog,

Where did you get the external cylinder? Also whats your opinion on putting the 350mm barrel in and using the DonnyFL adapter to put one of his mods on it? it would make it much shorter for packing I believe but I'm not sure on it. I am still weighing all the different options but the more I look the more I am liking the leshiy once I read up more on it. I just want to get 30+ shots per fill so I don't have to worry about carrying a buddy bottle but with a few of those External cylinders I could get plenty of shots at a higher power. How do those work to fill the gun?
