Coming to USA .... so soon a hunt shall begin...starlings beware 😑

Thanks. Cant wait to head north on Saturday evening. I’ll be in the Salt Lake City area for a couple of days to do some shopping and see some old friends. And drive to Orem to visit Utah Airguns. Maybe I can bum some air off them for the Leshiy 2. 

Being back under these times feels like I got out of minimum security prison on a 3 week pass. Sunshine freedom of movement and restaurants and soon dead starlings. 

Okay...quick update, in Salt Lake City, chilling now. So far things are starting off right. Pretty much free upgrade on the car. Toyota Camry to BMW 530i Xdrive for $3.00/day. (Going to try to work out a deal to affordably rent this sucker for the rest of the trip.) Room upgrade and free parking ($60 there.)

Today I drove down to Orem, Utah and visited Utah Airguns. Spoke with Justine and the crew. Bought some pellets and Justine offered me to let me sight the Leshiy 2 in on the range a nd it is a nice one. .

Though I haven’t seen any starlings yet in Montana my day did end with this view along Flathead Lake in Montana. And I woke up to this other one.

Well today back to the dairy for some Eurasian doves and pigeons hopefully starlings and sparrows. And today because of some wind up taking the Taipan Veteran tuned down Well hopefully lose his virginity. and the leshiy stayed at home. 

@l.leon yes it is a good trip and I hate the thought of heading back to NL, in some ways, most being I can’t hunt in the Netherlands, at least with air rifles.

Today, I went out to the dairy I have permission again to go to and I will post in Hunting on it.

Today was my last hunt at the dairy I have been at 3 times in the last week. I am grateful to have found such a place so close to Pocatello, and I am handing over the rights to go there to a buddy. There are still a lot of Eurasian doves there, so i figure by spring/summer a 10 to 15 bird plus day will be easy.

The trips has had ups and downs with new possible paths forming. Surprises from friends and family, and a chance to see some of the most lovely regions on the planet. IMHO.

Also, both because of the BS i went through getting the Leshiy 2 and Taipan here, they are staying here for now in the USA. Though the Taipan was planned, the Leshiy 2 will also stay in the USA, for now. The reason for the former is the BS I will have to put up with to bring back my own property into the Netherlands which was purchased while I have been living in the Netherlands. I need an import permit to bring back in my own property to its point of origin. For now I have the Fx Impact MK II Compact in .22.

The down side of this trip is NO STARLINGS...but beware bird, I am coming for you where and when is uncertain, but for certain I am coming for you hell demon known as the Devil’s spawn. I swear upon my hunter’s spirit that I shall do what it takes to take out starlings, if not today, then in the future.

Also, this trip made me realize major changes are coming and now to see where the dice fall.
