Coming to USA .... so soon a hunt shall begin...starlings beware 😑

Hey everyone:

First a big thank you for all the "friendships" I have made here in 2020, this forum truly has a lot of great people on it. I am forever thankful for your kindness and advice. Yes, maybe this is "off topic" However, Happy 2021, like bad beer, I hope 2021 is less covidish and like bad beer something we don't always complain about. 😅

Life isn't ease for me these days here in the Netherlands, so it will be a great relief for me to heal in the USA. Amazing how my pride in being American increased as I became an expat, even though for now I live overseas, I am still proud to be an American who's family roots date back to 1750.

In addition, to being a dumb safety guy (and yes I do think in the end many EHS types are idiots and just follow the regs not use their heads and common sense), I am also an inventor. Now I am at the stage of bringing my invention to market, it is an ambitious plan, which in the long run maybe it will allow me to walk away. Yes, as previously posted, yes, I am looking to return to USA in next few months, but need 1 more year in Europe to make my invention a success.

My planned trip is Houston & Austin, Texas, then on to Utah, east Idaho and NW Montana. Dates Jan 10/11 to 16 in Idaho and then time through first Utah (a friend to see and shopping at REI), then to Montana and back to Idaho to see friends and family. If anyone wants to meet up for pesting let me know, PM me and I will send you my phone number once I hit the ground. I will buy tickets today and plan to head back the Netherlands at the end of Janish. The Leshiy 2 and Taipan Vet Compact are coming with me so in a few weeks they shall taste blood.

I so miss the mountains, where you have to realize in the end that you are NOT at the top of the food chain, and if you think you are, then you won't survive. Sorry without our toys, we are a joke to take down by such animals as a cougar. Humans rank between a big and an anchovies in the food chain without our toys.

I realized thank God I plan to hunt on this trip, my next one to USA may not allow much time for it.

Last night my NYE plans didn’t go as planned the party of 5 I was supposed to go to was cancelled sick hostess. So I ended up calling a friend in the UK who recently moved there to be a doctor and we did a FaceTime NYE party.

We have known each other for about 5 years when we met in Denmark. For the last year, we have tried to plan a trip to USA, she wants to see where I grew up.

When we do go should be some time late this year with a hop through Houston, then she gets to see the glories of Idaho through Montana.

She is really up for doing some shooting, BUT if I do get a chance to do some pesting it will be limited she isn’t a hunter. However she does love the outdoors.

Prepping for USA trip:

Well, I am prepping for the USA trip, meaning putting stuff to the side I need to take to USA. The plus side is that I have a LOT of experience doing this hop.

The FX case is being retro-fitted to fit the Taipan and dismantled Leshiy 2 with the scopes removed. TSA allows scopes to taken in either checked in or carry on luggage. Here is the TSA link if anyone is curious about this: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/rifle-scope-scope-only

But I can’t remove the valve from the air bottle for shipping because it needs to be off to be inspected :( I For backup I did order from Best Fitting UK the same bottle I have here and it should be in the USA when I arrive in Idaho middle of month. will try to get my existing bottle’s valve removed next week, asking around and if I can take it with, maybe I will have two.
