Anybody have any experience with the Combro cb-625 chronograph? Did you get it to actually work?
I had to tap the barrel brace onto the unit with a hammer and screwdriver, the fit is so tight. Couldn't get it to register in Imperial. All I get is "ERR" What a piece of crap. Thanks for the Airchrony tip"sirk"supposedly there are many happy users out in the UK. from personal experience it is all cheap plastic, first time i had to replace the batteries upon reassembly the display stopped showing some digits. all screws tight, still no luck. Had to guess what the numbers are.
Ridiculous. Due to some bad contact. I kept using if for a little while, then it slid off to the side and out of alignment and i shot one of the metal bits protecting the leds or detectors so i had to actually bend the sensors back to place. Could not be trusted anymore. Got a replacement housing was cheap not black but yellow just like the one on the picture. I think also gets affected by fluorescent tubes if you use it inside. replaced it by Airchrony, there is a similar product called shooting chrony, both great recommended.
Thanks for that. I'm sending my Combro back. I'll just use my Chrony Beta Master."Centercut"I bought the Emerson E9700 Shooting Chronograph Speed Tester on eBay a while back and it works fine. Reads in meters per second. Supposed to be able to download to a PC, but couldn't find the drivers to make that work. Very small and portable. Battery powered. Small aperture to shoot through, but not that hard to do. Can be mounted on a tripod.
