Colorado Airgunning?

I agree, go visit R&L airgun supply. Randy's a great guy and is always willing to help. He's located in Colorado City which is an hour south of Colorado Springs on I-25.

Once you get settled, shoot me a PM and we'll meet up for some shooting! I know a GREAT range, probably the best one in the state and it's free. Bit of a drive, though, from C-Springs.

Hope you have a safe and swift move!
:)

"Dan25"Any of you guys into Dual Sport riding and camping? I rode from Salida to Silverton, the passes and on to Moab last year. None of my buds can make the trip this year. Looking to do it again but going deep back country alone could be a bummer if something happens.
Man, you were not far from my house when you started in Salida! I've heard of these cross state off road trips before. My Lt. did one across utah (IIRC). They sound really fun. I don't have a dual sport and never got into 2 wheelers. We just don't seem to get along. Which is strange, to me, because I used to be a hard core Mtn. biker. Now I'm on 4 wheelers and love 'em! I was fortunate enough to have bought my 2nd 4 wheeler before I got into the high priced PCP's. Otherwise, I'd still only have 1. :)
Yup, into camping, I just never seem to make the time to actually get out there and do it. Trying to find/make the time to go while this nice weather is around.
If you want to meet up at Chaffee range for some shooting, PM me.

"Chappee"I happen to be moving to Colorado, specifically Colorado springs and I don't have any idea on what the laws are like in Colorado. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Also does anyone know of any ranges or areas that are dedicated to airgunning in Colorado? Thanks!
Here's one link to get you started - http://www.crosman.com/pdf/HuntingRegsChart.pdf
You can also get some hunting guides from CO DOW. For hunting just about everything you'll need a Hunter Education card. There are some exceptions that fall nicely into airgun hunting. One example would be ground squirrels. ((As I interpret the rules)) you are able to hunt them without a H.E. card, there is no defined season, use any caliber within reason, no fur bearers license req'd either. You'll want to find and know these rules, and maybe have them at the ready if you go out to hunt. Also, be sure of who's land your on.

If I get close with my setup will take you up on the shoot or drop by to talk air guns. I got my first bike at the age of 8. It was the best summer ever, until I discovered females. Im a flatlander from the south and the mountains are exotic to me. I lost track of how many times we crossed the divide. Last summer we did 1000 miles in about 4.5 days. Salida, Oray, Telluride, Silverton then to Moab and back via John Brown to CO and Crested Butte to Pitkin and Salida. There is a simple joy of freedom burning up the back roads and running up the passes with everything you need with you. It was like being that 8 year old kid again. That ride was like smoking crack. Im addicted to it and air gunning.
