Norm and I got a new permission this week. When we showed up the pigeons were everywhere, and had no idea we were coming for them.

We turned the guns to low power, shooting jsb 25 gr domes at 510 fps out of my crown and 600 fps or so out of the dreamline. And we just went to work.

We couldn’t keep track of the birds so we just counted magazines. We each shot about 14 mags. And we didnt miss much. Best guess well over 300. The ones pictured here fell into the feed lane and we had to pick them up. Most fell in with the cows and the farmer wanted us to stay out of them so we didnt rile them up.

We will of course be making a video or two from this hunt for our youtube channel “68whiskey”

Great deal of hard work done by yall.

IMHO, y'all go back nderu the cover of darkness. The birds don't fly at night. Blind them with a flash light and kill 'till the killing is all done. I used a green laser illuminator, dialed to a wide beam. Their eyes glow like a beacon. It makes for challenging videography, but lots of pests get removed. Hard work, but I'll do it again 😁

Thanks guys, We were out there for about six hours. We could go back at night. And i might if we were paid to remove pests. But its just fun for us so we want to enjoy the hunt, not take away all the targets in one session. We reduced the population by half id say, im sure the farmer will be pleased.

the barrel band is awesome, and ohio something or other made it. Norm ordered it so im not sure.

Yessir almost all inside milker barns. It was very important to keep the guns and the impacts quiet to keep the milkers calm. Most of the footage we got is out of focus because we were so close......luckily with 300 shots or so there is plenty of video to cherry pick lol.

Low power is a great feature. U cant expect a ton of bang flops, but they fly ten yards and then fall dead. Its like archery hunting a bit.

Yessir there were. We figure there are 2-300 left. We will be going back in two weeks and hammering them again. We need the guys that work there to be able to walk around without getting pooped on.

Interestingly their main complaint is starling in the winter. And the pigeons they were “living with”. Lol. Amazing

i reviewed a ton of the footage today. We have some really nice pellets in flight and acrobatic pigeons post hit. Should make a great video for next week!
