Clear Ridge scope...

I have owned several too and still own a couple. Very nice scopes and never a problem with any of them. I used them on spring guns too. I have downsized and don't own near as many rifles and I have switched to side focus scopes on my field target guns, so that is why I sold the ones I did.

The RM series are nice lightweight scopes. Their Mil-Dot reticle is overpriced and too thick for my liking.

The duplex dot is very fine and useful. 

The mechanics are excellent, and the optics are good for the money. Made in Japan as well with a good warranty. 

I have a 3-9x and it's been great. One of the few reasonably priced scopes still made in Japan. I did have one issue with it. Sent it back to the company and they must have repaired it the same day. Immediate turn-around. No charge.

That said, I'm planning to sell mine because I prefer a side focus scope.

They are good old school scopes. One of the few that still come in gloss if you like that. I think they have a Japanese line and Chinese line so look carefully. They are lighter and more compact than most, simple reticles and have small objectives if you like those things. You won't find any sales or discounts etc. They used to be more popular before the tacti-cool scope and gun thing.

All Japan, no China.

I am getting a 3rd one.

Their products haven’t changed in at least 10 years. I not sure if that is good or bad, I’ve never looked through one. The mildot doesn’t seem to be available in the RM model anymore, which is what I considered putting on my Beeman R7 I bought around 2010. 

I have never peered through one of their mildot reticles, but some users say the dots are portly.

On the other hand, the DUPLEX DOT is said to be very nice.

I only have 2, and both of them are the silver RM's with FINE CROSSHAIR, which I happen to like very much for target shooting.

I am contemplating on getting another Clearidge, but I may go for the ULTRA XP 4.5 - 14 X 40 with DUPLEX DOT reticle.

I wish they offer them in silver, then I would not hesitate a bit.
