Cleaning pellets?

I purchased a giant stack of .25 Benjamin Domes off of Craigslist a while ago from a guy cleaning out his father-in-law's garage. I think I got 10 tins for $10. They work but they're not my favorite pellet. Every tin that I've used has had stray chunks of metal and lots of what I assume is some type of lubricant. I really only use them when I'm working on the gun because I got them so cheap. But if I had to pay full price...I'd probably buy JSBs.

I have JSB's also. I just purchased a Marauder and from what I have read JSB's and Benjamin's seem to shoot the best.

"kris"can you polish poo?
Eunjins group well....very well for me (not as good as JSB, but then again JSB have NOWHERE NEAR the amount of FPE either).
They are devastating to yotes @ 60-70fpe. I have dropped 6 yotes with head shots with 43's (right to the fuse box not even a wiggle or death dance).

So why do you care what pellets I use or if I clean them or not? Just trying to stir the pot?

If you don't care what I use.....why even respond? What help are your comments to anyone that will ever read this thread....(other than to soap box your view on a pellet you don't use, out of a gun you don't own, and using a method you say is useless).

Got it.....its useless and I use poo pellets for smacking yotes. Now move along and spread your sunshine to other threads.

"pbguns"Two more tins and the swarf they contained:

I just cleaned one tin yesterday and it was full of bits, these pells are very dirty for sure. I just gently rolled them on a towel to get most of the stuff off. I then sized some of them to .253 to do testing later on in the week. Of the testing I have done with these pellets so far, they hit like a truck, and are accurate at 60yds for sure ;- )

They are included in my short list of heavy hitters in 25 cal ------ JSB KH's are one and I'm counting on Nielsen's 39gr HP DB slug as the other (to be tested when I receive them). These pellets are all flying out of my Condor in the mid 900fps, I'm hoping the slugs give me around the same velocity.
