Cleaning Pellets and Baffles

I have heard of people getting them stuck in the silencer baffles. I wouldn't do it. I use a straw on any of the airguns that have non removable silencers to get past the baffles for cleaning with a pull thru.

cleaning pellets are a waste of time.
In particular, if you don't use a pellet in addition to the felt pellet(s) in a spring/gas piston gun you run the possibility of damaging the gun. Its just like dry firing it. the pellets weigh nothing.
(come to think of it, maybe that is what some manufactures are shooting to obtain the exaggerated claimed velocity on some of the guns.

Seriously, If you want to clean your barrel do it manually with a bore snake saturated with a solvent like Ballistol or equal.

I don't use them. I punch the bore as normal, then fire one last pellet through it, just to relieve the spring or gas piston. I don't know it this is ideal, but it works for me.

Sure you can, but should you? Absolutely Not, for the above stated reasons.
Get a Crown Saver, bore snake or similar. Use Ballistol, it does it all and is safe to use on all parts of your rifle.

I know that I should put in 3 or 4 cleaning pellets due their light weight, but I'm mainly talking about firing in a PCP rifle with baffles/moderator.

Joe Wayne Rhea came up with the easiest way to clean an airgun I've seen. Get a boresnake, remove the brass brush from the boresnake, If you have to, cut the brass weight off. Find a way to get the lead line down the barrel and pull. Clean, easy, and one or two pulls leaves a nice shiny barrel.

If you read my above post I informed you of the hazards of shooting cleaning pellets thru silencers especially if you are shooting multiple cleaning pellets.
