Cleaned the Cricket

So I've been shooting my gen one Derek Wall tuned Cricket all summer. I have to say if there were any misses it was my fault this thing is freaky accurate.

I did notice that it seemed to be hitting a little low and something just a little off so I decided to clean the barrel.

I had been kind of putting this off because really to clean the barrel on this gun the best way is to take it off. I shouldn't have worried about it it really wasn't very dirty and I have to say the gunsmith that worked on this knew exactly what he was doing. When I put it back together every pellet went exactly where the crosshairs were. Right off no change in point of impact.

Good job Kalibrgun, good job Mr Wall. This gun keeps impressing.

Great job on a sweet gun! I own a very early bone-stock original "Made in Russia" standard-size version of a Cricket in .22. Was told it was one of the first to come in this country and has a very low serial number. Like you said, its freakishly accurate and I only recently put an oring kit in it out of guilt. This thing never had a leak, shot incredibly and just keeps on going. My 25 Cricket was purchased new from Charlie in GA, and I hunted hard with it. Many feral pigeons, starlings and woodchucks on the Dairy farm. Some birds out to 100 yards. Same thing..Stacks pellets and its still on its original orings from like 2016. Also have an early Compact in .22 that I slapped a NV scope on, tuned it down to around 500 fps and shot a bunch of mice with in total blackout conditions..Man, that was a hoot. (Gun in the pic below). Yeah, guess you'd could say I'm a fan..

218bee nice stable of Crickets!

I mean they aren't perfect though. They aren't a Lego gun. They probably wouldn't win the speed round at RMAC (try speed changing magazines) and they weigh a ton. That said for the shooting I do she does it fantastic. Makes me want one in 177 and 22 as well. I think if the 177 is as accurate as my 25 I could take my tree rats with head shots all day. I wonder how many shots you would get with a gen 2 tactical in 177?
