trying to make a custom clamp to an air bottle, what would be a sensible approach considering that this is high pressure instrument? Are bottles can cope with reasonable force of a clamp? Where are the "red lines" here?

I expect most bottles can withstand the small torque value that would be used. Still, I'm not comfortable attaching anything to the bottle.

What is the clamp for? If it’s for a Picatinny rail or a bipod mount it’s already been done so your ok. There’s a lot of 3D clamps out there, along with aluminum ones from Saber Tactical.

Thank you, yes, it is to attache a weaver rail, but I need to bring it over the barrel with a kind of "L" shaped arm. I guess the safest will be asking air bottle manufactures - but they probably will say "No" just in case.

thanks, this is an excellent selection, but none of them will let me heaving weaver rail over a barrel

I know what you’re looking for. They make those pic rails in a scope ring form, to add a pic rail on top of your scope for a laser or torch. If you’re wanting to mount a torch or laser, watch out for barrel droop should you find one to mount on a barrel. Stuart at smwengineering.uk.com has barrel to air tube clamps and a couple of barrel to bottle clamps with side and bottom pic rails added during the 3D manufacture. Check out his site.

thank you for links, I thought that clamping to a barrel or touching a barrel not very good idea as it might compromise an accuracy?
