Chronographs Recommendatons for PCP Tuning

I have owned an Oehler, Shooting Chrony F1, and a Competition Electronics Pro Chronograph with IR light kit. I loved my Oehler, but they are no longer made and it was tragically shot and destroyed. The Shooting Chrony was ok but I had alot of errors. My CE Pro has been perfect and the best overall I have had. However, I did put the IR lighted screens on my Shooting Chrony and it worked much better than before. So, I like the added CE pro features over the basic Shooting Chrony F1 model I had, but I think the IR screens are the contributing factor to flawless performance from my CE Pro. I still overall like the CE best, but I will highly recommend IR screens regardless of brand. I hear alot of good things about the Caldwell chronograph also. CE is a great company offering an American made servicable chronograph and they stand behind every product they sell. I have used there RC car chargers and even there shooting timers and the few issues I ever had, they took care of me.

I just ordered and received one of these...it seems accurate with no errors compared to my RCBS Chrony. Love the size and no diffusers...you just hold the muzzle to the opening and shoot. Does not seem to be bothered by low light or direct sun. Stores up to 250 shots. It's from the Czech Republic but I received it in less than a week after paying via PayPal.

If you do order the Competition Electronic Pro Chrono I'd suggest splurging on their blue tooth digital link transmitter =medium (its $70). The Digital Link software is free from AppStore (if you are in Apple universe). Its available for both iPhone and iPad, and the latter makes a really nice screen when shooting shot strings, plus you get voice read out of last shot fps with variable delay, you can save configs for different rifles and pellets, export as cvs, pdf etc & have a nice screen while you are shooting. This really enhances the CE chrono package, and the software costs you nothing! I highly recommend both the Chronograph and the =mediumDigital Link transmitter

The blue tooth module also works for Androids. Very cool setup.
