CHIPMUNKS ATTACKING

I been back a few weeks and the Chipmumks took over and have a few roads coming in and out of property , Titus and I had planned to put down corn out at the roadways so when the troops traveled into garden , Titus and I can take them out , So first we found the best Crows nest to be on deck shooting off table in a chair and shooting threw the rails or spindles , We put out 3 piles for corn one at 52 yards one at 75 yards and one at 132 yards , here is pictures of where I was shooting from , The gun I picked for task was Taipan veteran , the reason is Quiet and best trigger to shoot threw posts lol.

The gun is tuned and fitted like this

Taipan veteran LONG reg pressure 130 bar , 948 fps with JSB 18 gr , 36fpe , I have a Donny fl on it and a atlas bipod ,I have a Larue Can mount and an Accuracy 1st scope level and a US Optic B-25 with HORUS H-102 reticle , I also have 3 mag holders and a cocking lever on it that I love

OK well while scanning I spotted a chipmunk at the 132 yard target , I manuvered scope so I did not hit the spindle and throw off pellet , The sun was beating down 99 degrees , sweat in my eyes , I saw the deck posts on both sides , I adjusted parallax , then held ,3 mil for spin and very slight breeze , I dialed scope 6.4 mils , I aimed my Us optic which was on 10x , dead center of his nech and took a breath and squeezed trigger and saw him fall ,

Here is aftermath , I ended out with a perfect center mass brain shot , his head was like jelly , Titus and I went out and Titus ate the enemy ,

HI stoti , I been away I took almost 3 weeks to drive across country from CT to NM and hit 14 states and I brought my leshiy an a few optics and I had a blast , I saw like 15 states , titus did battle with 5 dogs and he accually picked a fight with , Hunters supplys horse lol , until it kicked him then he stayed away , Funny thing is Titus did battle 2 pit bulls and one mastif which weighed 200 pounds , and he won all battles , I was sure pitbull would eat him but I think they didnt expect him to do battle lol. I also got to shoot prarie dogs in NM , and I saw some cool animals , I even went to utah air guns and shot an impact MK2 .Ohh I got to also mention most important thing , I married Colleen in Vegas on our trip so it was to visit friends see country / get married /honey moon/ see friends across country/ look at places to move and be able to hunt on , I also finally got to visit The owner of Hunters supply Dave Williams and his wife Who are wonderful people and they make big bore slugs , It was amazing to visit with him and just see how he makes the slugs , and it was amazing just how he does it , and I did try to shoot a 650fpe texan , which is much different then the small stuff we shoot on this forum .On another note Id say once you go from east coast to say middle of USA you can see for hundreds of miles and out west the open fields are ongoing as far as you can see , so shooting long range their is no problem and when we went prarie dog hunting we drove on dirt road stopped and set up shooting tbles and shot ,buy not like CT first we shot rel guns like ,223 which cant be shot where I live and you cant just drive and get out of car and shoot lol , it was soo cool , I am thinking of relocating down there , I had looked at aa ranch with 160 acres with elk tags , a big shop and some ponds and a 2 bdrm trailer all redone , while looking we saw deer and elk , I even saw a jack rabbit .

Hey long shot , Yes I was hoping someone asked about it , you are very sharp lol ,

OK as for levels , let me explain there is generally 2 types for sake of this , coarse and fine , and meaning the china ones are garbage and do not work well and accually are off , I have tested them all , as I shoot super long ranges and ,rifle cant can cause a miss

Typically air bubble levels require 3° to 5° to even register movement; however, the Accuracy 1st custom level will read movement at a minimum of 1° and will extend measurements out to +/- 10°. Need to use your scope level in the dark conditions? Accuracy 1st Development designed the housing to include a separate compartment for tritium vials

IF you want a military grade level , and for about 15 bucks you can buy and install a tritium vial so it is illuminated , They sell these at Larue tactical and accuracy 1st , I got my tritium vial on ebay

[pd this level actually works opposite the way a bubble level works

well it is is not cheap like$ 80 plus $15 , but it is super precise ,

If my cant is off say 2 degrees and I am shooting at a squirrel at 100 yards it will miss him .. A head n a squirrel is only a 1 inch target

I am not saying you need this one but I do have like 12 of them in various scopes some 30mm some 34 mm some 35 mm , some tube mounts some rail mounts , and This is my best one , my 2nd best one is the stiner T series rings with bubble built in , then I like my USO bubble next I guess if I had an order , I thing the cheap ones from hawke down I dont even use as they not good Lou
