I just got the FAS 6004 today, been waiting so long it feels like (only 3 months, but an eternity for me). I love it, it's my favorite gun to target shoot with and i've not even had it one day. I do like my Ataman Ap16 compact an awful lot too, but for plinking all day, the FAS wins out, not stopping to fill. i'm afraid my Marauder pistol may be getting neglected, but i still love to shoot that one every time i pick it up. I will be doing reviews on my small collection in the near future but for now i just couldn't wait to share my enthusiasm, and a quick innovation:
i read that people were saying you can't use a pell pen with the FAS, bubkis! You can use the pen to place a pellet in there, and then seat it with your finger (faster than digging in a tin for the next pellet). Then, to take it to the next level, you remove that rubber sleeve on the tip of the PelPen, poke a small hole in it, then cut down a 6 or 8 penny nail so it is the head of the nail with about an 1/8" or 3/16" of the shaft left. Sand the nail down, then push it through the rubber sleeve, put a small amount of glue on the flat portion of the pell pen plastic tube, and slide the rubber sleeve back into place with the nail.
Presto, you have a pellet seater that can work at 90 degree angles. maybe they will update their pellet pens to include this feature, i know they got the one with the pellet seater on it, but thats for break barrels.
good thing my wife didn't catch me taking photos of them on the bed
haha
