Chalk is a fun target!

the girls left their sidewalk chalk out and as I was picking it up I thought.... "These should be fun" so I took a couple for myself 😈

75yds with no wind made for a good afternoon. The chalk really explodes when you hit it and paints the ground really well for confirmation. I will now be "making" more chalk as it will be significantly cheaper after seeing how fun shooting it is!

AHHHH the little chalk on golf tees is AWESOME! Jedediah and I both looked at each other wide eyed. Looks like we've got some glueing to do!

The "explosion" is actually greater with the smaller pieces in comparison to the thick sticks I was shooting. The clouds were about the same size for each, but having the significantly smaller target is nice in building skill and having the same effect.

It will be at least a week before this rain lets up (Seattle) so I've got time to make some targets and since Jedediah golfs like a mad man, we've got plenty of golf tees floating around. Call me a dork, but I feel like I just opened up a whole new crazy world of fun targets(for me)! LOL

Doc,
Now we're cooking with fire! Funny how sometimes we find ourselves "almost there" in terms of a setup, but it's not QUITE RIGHT until you get another set of eyes on it.

Jedediah and I were using our empty tins, but we were just using a dab of red paint and then propping them up in the field just to have to pick them up when we nocked them all down.

Looking at what you are doing we were maybe a little further than ALMOST there, but we were certainly on the right path. Lol. I like the visibility with spraying it and OBVIOUSLY the 1" centers make more sense and even MORE sense by securing them to a broad base so we don't have to walk the plank after every series. Lol.

Good times, good insight!Â
