I have been busy making up a bunch of AZ style scope knobs and printing out elevation turret tapes. The ScopeKnob software is fantastic for this task. They have been somewhat usable but decided to really dial them in and that is where my problem lies. Can't seem to get the clicks / distance to line up between the software and actual. Have accurately measured scope height using the end of barrel method, rechecked velocity over the chrono, etc. One scope / gun combination actually came close between Chairgun and ScopeKnob and Scopeknob BC and scope height were pretty close to actual. The rest are way off. Most are using 28 yards for zero, and 11 and 54 yards are the near and far for click count.
The largest discrepancies seems to be with the near yardage (11 yards) actual click count to what the software says it should be for given scope height.
Also, once the range starts getting beyond 50 yards the differences between Chairgun and ScopeKnob are really significant.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get an accurate scope elevation tape without manually shooting all the distances and then manually inputting data into ScopeKnob.
Appreciate any help you can offer.
