Chairgun question

I have been using Chairgun for several years now for my P-Rod, Pulsars, Impact, and RAW; with a variety of scopes with great success. However, I've now run into an issue that seems intractable. I am setting up my new Weihrauch HW 44 .177 cal. pistol, and the Indicated Magnification (Ind. Mag.) input will not accept a 7x. It keeps defaulting to 2x for some reason. I have an AIM 2-7x 42 pistol scope mounted, and I plan to keep it set at max mag of 7. The Calibrated Magnification (Cal. Mag.) input accepts 7x just fine. Any thoughts?

Hi, Rabbit:

Yes, it is 2nd focal plane. I'm not sure what you mean by "true range." The scope is variable from 2x to 7x. My understanding is that Ind. Mag. is what the power is set on, and Cal. Mag. is the max power of the scope. In my case, they are the same thing: 7x.

I have my pistol Chrony'd and have generated a Chairgun range card. I plan on zeroing her tomorrow. However, now that I've jumped through all the hoops, it appears that the issue is moot. It looks like that at any range out to 50 yds I can simply put the crosshairs dead center! This dynamic is precisely why I went with the .177 so that I may achieve a flatter trajectory.

Thanks, buddy :)
