You, know this has been bothering me since I started playing with chairgun again.
It would seem that the 2 most important factors to me are left out.
1 - The angle of the scope in relation to the bore.
2 - How far forward or aft is the scope mounted in relation to the barrel crown (not shroud).
I beat myself up for an hour, " trying to solve the math", and decided that chairgun is at best and estimate and the best way to "know YOUR gun" is to:
1 - get a chrony and check fps at different distances. Then write down the results.
2 - after zeroing, shoot targets at various distances and write down your own trajectory.
Then I popped a top on a cold beer and enjoyed the rest of the night.
You won't get benchrest quality out of chairgun.
