CF liner: 29 Bucks Well Spent

Picked up a CF liner for my .25/700 mm Impact II. Did not glue it.

Great groups on my first outing at 50 and 100 but tonight I went out to 145. I only had about 30 minutes til sundown after work so I don’t think I was quite in “the zone” racing the light so some targets are worse than others but all were sub MOA with NSA 38.9 @ 927fps.

Totally happy with the results I’m getting. CF liner is highly recommended. Before the CF, at that distance….. it wasn’t pretty!

All of these groups are at 145.
I think I tossed the 50 yard targets. I only have one group at 100 and they were very good but
one group doesn’t really tell much of a story so I didn’t post them.

The 50 and 100 were right after the CF install just to have a quick look see.

I’m really surprised and happy with these at 145.
As the weather cooperates I’ll try for 200. Maybe this weekend.

Dang dude, that is unbelievably awesome. So glad someone is shooting a 25 w/slugs at distance, and posting the results.

It took me an entire summer of trying to shoot a group that small at 100 yards years ago. And you just casually shot one at 150, basically.

All those groups are certainly minute of tin can at 145.

It is a new day.

@drumsnguns: Nice shooting!!!

My impact is setup for 25 slugs also and haven't really had the chance to stretch it out yet but maybe this weekend. I should have my new 60 minute bottle back so I might make a full day at the range!

@flintsack: The .25 NSA slugs have very good BC, according to my ballistic solvers the 34.9 grain slugs have BC of 0.11 or only 2 inches of drift at 100 yards and 9 inches of drift at 200 yards with 5mph wind at 90 degrees. My goal is go to 300 yards, at 300 yards 90 degree 5mph wind will drift 21 inch or 2.1 mils which should be manageable, if I aim at one edge of my target leading into the wind I should hit the paper at least.....I bought big targets. LOL

Funny thing is that 0.356” group was the very first group out of the chute. The rest kinda got progressively worse but I wish I’d had a picture of my face with that first one. If the second one had been that good I’d have fallen over. 😆😆

i wonder if anyone else is having the same results with those new 38.9 dish based slugs?

They’ve been the “magic bullet” for me.
