Central Pennsylvania Airgunners

We have started a new group looking for bench and field shooters in Central Pennsylvania. The goal is to have local competitions, benchrest and field target. Of course just fun shooting is also a big must.

I’m in Shippensburg. We have a beautiful shooting range locally. We might be able to make use of it.

That’s good. More the merrier. You are 1.5 hours from me or about the same as if I go to a club west of PHL. Harrisburg or York would be the middle but I’m up for multiple locations too.

Not PA but just over the border here in the Binghamton area in NY. South Central Upstate. ( Southern Tier as it is known locally ).

I have been there many times. And not far from you I used to go to many races at Walkens Glenn. The more people we find to have a regional area of competitions the better.

I have been in contact with 2 clubs near Philadelphia but still none in central PA. Rick Rehm just told me he is working on ideas too. Hopefully we will get together on it soon.

Is there any news as to the forming of a group aside from Facebook? I'll join the Facebook once i can post again, just a few days left on my stupid post ban, but was just curious to see if anything has come up. Perhaps anyone in the South Central PA area would be willing to meet up some time for a friendly competition shoot or just some fun plinking for a day even. I have nobody that i am close to in my area who enjoys shooting with an air gun or anywhere to shoot for that matter. Just looking for some folks to enjoy the sport of air gunning with and maybe even get to see what everyone else is shooting for when i have the ability to upgrade.

That is a great part of my initial post.. I am from Lancaster. I have also put up a group on FaceBook to get more people’s attention. Now that the weather is turning cold it is less likely we will have any chances of a live shoot but I want to prepare and find people for the spring. Target competitions are a main goal.

Hey guys I'm from Punxsutawney but would be interested in any matches you guys may have either indoor or out door.

I'm just getting into this so I have a lot to learn.

I just saw another thread that said air gunners would be able to shoot IR 50 matches along with the rimfires.

That sounds like there will be more places to shoot come summer.

What do you guys think about shooting with the rimfire guys?

This winter I will personally approach more people to see if farms or ranges can be available.

I did contact them but if I recall they don't have a pellet gun range.

We don’t have a pellet range but we do have a 50-100 yard range that is mostly covered down to the 25 yard line, we shoot ARA matches there, but not much shooting going on during the pandemic, hopefully after it’s over we can get back to shooting matches and try to get some airgun benchrest matches going.
