Have anyone replaced the water pump on their carette compressor? When I start up mine just before the pressure reaches 1000 psi the brass check valve on the bottom of the water pump spits water out quite forcefully. I called Joe and he told me that he has never seen that problem before. We are wondering if it is a bad water pump or something else?

I had it happen.. dont remember if it hit a certain psi… but anyway.. I took the brass valve out, looked over the o ring and cleaned it good. I didn't see anything on it but there must have been something. After I cleaned it everything was fine. Hasn't leaked anymore

Jason, Thank for the reply. I have cleaned the spring and poppet valve, and even the mating crevis inside the water up but still happening when I turn it on.  I think there is another problem that must be causing this or the water pump is defective. With the coolant there seems to be a lot air spiting out then I would of expected.
