Hi all,

I was trying to decide if I should get the RWS 54 or the HW97K and ultimately decided upon the HW 110 Carbine after in depth discussions with AoA, I may still get one of the other two just to have a quality springer but I'm really excited to have a PCP in the collection.

I'll be sure to give a review once I get everything up and running...

Cheers guys

Sure like my HW100 that’s for sure.

My HW110 .177 carbine delivered last week. I had been considering numerous .177 side-levers for a while and when I saw the AOA special I acted on it. So far, I've no disappointments, very nice rifle.

After mounting a Hawke 3-9 Airmax on it and doing the basement 15ft. sight-in, the weather finally agreed yesterday to allow me to get out to the back yard and see what it'll do. From a bench, rested on bags at 25yds. it'll put 10 shots in less than 3/4" groups and that was with some breeze swirling, so I'll believe it can do better in calm conditions. With target moved to 45yds. (and more breeze) groups opened to 1 1/2". The best shooting ammo at 25 was H&N 10.6 Baracuda and AA 10.3 Field Heavy, H&N FTT 8.6 also shot well. I used Crosman Premiers 10.5 to re-sight the scope at 25 and they did okay but not as well as the others mentioned. The 10+ gr ammo chronied 880-910 fps the 8.6 at 940-970 and getting 50+ shots per fill.

If I have any pros / cons....(and many shooters would not consider this to be a con), the trigger (for my use) is "scary" light, less than 8oz. on my Timney trigger scale. I've emailed an inquiry to AOA for adjustment help as the manual illustration supplied shows one thing but doesn't do as showed. Also, and this had been mentioned in some of the videos I watched, the magazine is somewhat awkward to install into the rifle but should get easier with more use.

CP1, I've had the Airmax sitting in it's box since the AMX reticle came along a while ago, it was a replacement from Hawke for the ill-fated EV models (which I went through several). I don't really warm up to the AMX reticle as much as the old Map6 or the mil-dot in my Vantage, but can't really justify buying another scope either, so I'll make it work.

I just finished another basement session with chrony, have over 200 shots through it now and noticed lesser spreads of fps numbers so the regulator maybe set itself, 8.6 ftt 10 shots all in 950s, 10.5 cp all 880s. I can live with that ;)

Enjoy your new carbine.
