Can't shoot with a critter behind my target

I maintain a quail feeder in my back yard (500 acres, ok some of it is side and front yard too)). When the grackles land there they get sniped off. the quail are used to this and get a really strange look when a Grackle explodes and turns feet up nearby. They only stop feeding for a second though. I am having cotton tails get in line with my shooting lane off my patio not realizing that they may be on their last nibble of grass ever! lol
