Cant or cant not?

I mounted my SWFA 3-15x42 on my Edgun R5M about 6 months ago. I used a plumb Bob to align the vertical portion of the reticle and then confirmed that the scope was level with a bubble level on top of the elevation turret. I also placed a bubble level on top of the rear portion of the receiver which confirmed that it was leveled with the top of the turret. After everything was leveled, I installed a SWFA bubble level and made sure it was leveled with the other bubble levels.

The problem that I'm having is that when I raise my airgun horizontally and use the bubble level mounted to the scope, the vertical part of the reticle looks straight.

When I lower the gun from horizontal and aim into a decline ensuring that the bubble level is level, the reticle looks like this.

Is it just me or is my scope canted?

I just tried mine are you right handed ? I'm left handed & it goes to the right , but I found out I'm cocking my head ( not changing my cheek rest to the stock ) looking at the level its hard to do at the same time for sight picture .Try moveing your head at different angles & see what happens . But maybe its just me lol

Yes, I'm a righty. I just tried something about 2 minutes ago. Because the bottom portion of the forend on the R5M is flat, I tried balancing my left index finger underneath the forend. When the forend is balanced across my finger, the bubble level is even but the reticle still looks weird canted to the left. I think it might have something to do with the positioning of my stance.

deg not den. Darn spell check.

Archery sights have the same issue..but have micro adjustments to help correct it.

You could try flipping the bubble 180 horizontally. If the bubble isn't aligned, you should see the cant change to the opposite direction.

I've never been into archery but I watched the video and it's pretty interesting. What is the 3rd axis?

there already is one UTG 4-16x56 bubble leveler AO rifle scope

It seems that few have found this to work well. Great idea, less than functional application. I have one and cannot use the leveler as it is very hard to see through the scope and doesn't match my leveled reticle even when I manage to see it. The scope was good enough to keep but I wouldn't buy another one just for the leveler function. Wish it did work.

As to OP's issue, I would bet that it is related to head tilting when angle is changed.

There was a post I made prior to the one with the video link...the website was doing weird s#!+ last night and wasn't accepting posts..when I tried to edit one it got deleted.

shoot44 basically said what I did in my deleted post...

Scope should be in line with the bore, but the bubble is probably not 90 deg to the bore/scope. If it's not 90 deg, then you'll get bubble run out.

I'll try to post a simpler video to show the mechanics..but if I can't figure that out, I'll post up a couple of pictures..

I went back looking for your previous post and did notice it was gone. Weird but thanks.
