Can’t get a break! #Omega75

This damn thing! Always have had a problem one way or another! Now it’s leaking out of it’s tank monitor gauge. This little one on the side. Arrrrgggg!!!!

"intenseaty22"Yeah, thought the same thing, but I don’t have a plug, and needed the tank as I was going away out of state to shoot. If it’s the same thread, I will replace with a Wika I have, then purchase another Wika later on. Just frustrating though, and bad timing to boot
When are you going out of town? If you want I can let you use one of my fireman tanks and fill assembly until you get yours fixed.

Thanks for the picture, that is the tiny gauge right? Or a trick of the light?
I've never seen a small gauge on any scba bottle ( only the small Benjamin et al tanks ) , I'm out of date on this too it seems. Used to be you could tell people to "trust the gauge on the tank" , the large one is normally more accurate than the small reference only gauge on pre-charged rigs and I need to stop saying "trust the tank" and start saying buy a quality gauge to be safe.

If that is the same size as say a ninja/crosman gauge, and if that small gauge costs less than $100.00 , it is NOT all all accurate for filling rigs. Small gauge? Who sells em? This is a "guppy"? and most "omega" 's have large more accurtie units?

TIA

John

Norman, thank you! That is a very kind gesture. I will try to fix it up and re-fill before I leave. Will PM you if I need to take you up on that.

My same tank is doing good so far. The small gauge is accurate so far. When I got it filled, the fill station regulator was set at 4,500 psi, but the gauge read 5,000. The filler told me it should drop after the air cools down.

Sure enough after about 15 min it settled in on 4,500. So far so good with it since then.

Sorry to hear about the leak and the bad timing, which is always worse than the actual issue when you don't have a quick fix. :-(
