Can't Buy a Texan ... All the Shrouds are Way To Ugly !

Yep..... I can say without a doubt that if R&L did not make the shroud they do, the only Condor gun I could live with is an SS model.

All the other manufactures have shrouds that do not match the barrel and look like after thoughts ... the R&L looks like it is part of the gun and you would never know it was an after market item if you did not know their shroud. Is it the best out there.....maybe not, but it stops the PCP from sounding like a powder burner for sure and folks 25-50 yards nearby can't identify the sound as a rifle shot for sure ! I own three of their units.

R&L is not off the hook completely as their shroud for the Texan is like everybody else. Because I must have my PCP guns shrouded, buying a Texan is not going to happen. If the barrel was threaded a nice add on might work, but since I'm in California I would not want to take out a airgun with a unit that even looks like it might be against the law even though it is not. I sure wish R&L would redesigning their Texan Shroud to be a beefed up internal version of their standard Condor shroud !

How many of you have guns that you have or have not bought just because of the accessories that are available or the way the accessories looked on the gun ?

The Texan makes so much power just putting a screw on LDC on the barrel would not be a good option, it would have to put much more in front of the muzzle than a full shroud so an already very long gun will be huge. People should consider this when they buy a Texan, the gun is already a very long gun, a short LDC is not an option for this gun, Neil.
