Can squirrels see pellets in flight?

interesting discussion and I haven't decided what I think is more likely. BUT I have decided that I'm not going to take any more shots with them facing me. Just shoot them from the back. I don't want to cause them any needless worry.

You know the Buffalo Bill Shots. If I see any playing cards I'll not shoot them at all.

I don't know how good the vision is on squirrels, birds I would think see pretty good. But what I do know for a guaranteed fact is a JSB pellet traveling less than 1000fps makes a good bit of noise as it comes into the target. You can hear it on some of the AEAC videos where he mics up a target but my proof is hearing it first hand at 80 yards. Could hear the pellet flying for several yards before impacting. This all started when I would see birds react, so I put myself in a safe bunker down range and listened first hand to see what was happening. Birds that you just miss are pretty stupid not to fly with that much noise going past their brain bucket. 

Birds turned the opposite direction can jump from the whistle of an incoming pellet. They can also see something moving towards them at high speed and fly. But most of the time it is the sound of a pellet.
