Can I leave co2 in my gun?

Can I leave the co2 in my gun if it's still full and I'm not using it anymore. Example if I go hunting small pest with my co2 gun. And maybe only take 4 or 5 shots and no more pest to shoot. Can I leave the co2 in or do I need to release all the co2 out before I store it away. Can I leave the co2 in for weeks? Months? A year? I have pcp guns and I always leave them full for weeks and months without shooting and it's fine. I wonder can the same be for co2 guns.

You will get different opinions. Some will tell you yes you can and others will tell you not to leave CO2 in the gun. Take your pick. I leave the CO2 in any of my guns and don't have a problem. I have a Crosman 115 that had CO2 in it for well over a year and still functioned perfectly. However, with some guns the cartridge my try to stick to the seal and not want to drop out. Always put a drop of something like Pelgun oil on the tip of the cartridge and usually you won't have a problem.
