Can AGN have a 'pledge drive' for better hosting services?

I'll send in $40, what about you?

It's an EXCELLENT website for us AG folks but needs higher octane to run right... FASTER HOSTING.

Sorry Mike, this is very frustrating for us as well. We spend thousands of dollars on development each month. We'll get to the bottom of this, hopefully very soon.

No problem. I've ran web servers before and things happen. GoDaddy occasionally gives me fits with my websites.

I'm just gonna send in some money.

Thank You and I know it isn't running itself or on auto-pilot.

Its not just the hosting servers.

Your connection to AGN will be as fast as the slowest component in the connection chain. and there are MANY between you and AGN's servers

In my case, there;s at least 5 net work devices (and at least 3 security gizmos) to even get off campus (writing this at work, over coffee....). After that its off to Seattle, and I dont know after that, as it can vary depending on a number of factors.

AGN servers likley see at least that many before net traffic even gets out to the wild. Better servers wil help but wont solve all of it

My connection is blazing fast to almost all other websites. It's not that complicated.

Mike,

I see much the same you do. After I posted that ^^^ (and that's still valid btw) I got the message that CloudFlare was checking my browser...WTF???? and that took 30 seconds-ish.

This isnt the first time CloudFlare has affected this site (and likely many others....)

Ok, where do I send the money?

edit: after I tried to post this, CloudFlare in Seattle said the host had an error.... likley the other way round....

edit edit: I recieved 3 different CloudFlare errors trying to post the above response. Yea there's more than slow servers going on here

Already possible. Do it if you really want to.
