Camera concepts! Need help

Hello everyone
Im working on a camera and I need your help. Im using a Raspberry Pi3 with the original camera (1080p 30fps) and a fixed focal lens. The benefits of using a fixed focal lens is that when you have set the focus on the crosshairs it wont change. Ive made three concept, one for scopes, one for red dot sights and one for laser sights (day laser and/or IR-laser). I have made some prototypes and are working on the final design but i have never used a scope camera and need your input, what problems do you see with the design?, how would you do it different?, is there a feature Ive missed, etc.

New tests this weekend!
I got my IR-flashlight, its a 940Nm flashlight but the 850Nm is 35% stronger then the 940Nm.
I also got a green light flashlight.

When I test the scope camera outside in daylight, I get really good image but when I test it in the dark with IR-flashlight I get a terrible image.
Its way to dark to see anything.
This might be because my test area (my balcony) might not be dark enough for testing.
The flashlight might not be strong enough to light the target.

Indoors I get better result.
The IR-flashlight lights up the target, but when I go from daylight to night vision the reticle is no longer in focus anymore.

Here is the same setup but with visible green light.

Same thing with the red dot sight. The image gets really grainy in night vision.

Here is my prototype and some test images.

I managed to brake my 8mm lens and had to order new ones.
While I wait for the lenses to arrive, I tested an RMR and a Micro H-2 type red dot sight today.
No pictures of the Micro H-2 because the lens was 6mm and was not good enough, I need the 8mm.
In the last picture the RMR is farther from the lens and you can se the top of the RMR.
The RMR is riding low thou, it needs to be higher.

Infra red and visible light focus at different focal lengths. If you have an old SLR camera you can see the IR focus index on the lens.

That said, I don't have a solution for you... sorry

Over the last couple of weeks Ive been testing different cameras and finalising the design.

I will be using an infrared USB board camera and a IR-CUT filter hat.

In night mode I will take off the IR-CUT filter, and in day mode I will put it on.

I will be using the focus ring on the scope to fix the problem with different focal length of infrared and visible light.

I think the next step will be the software.

The prototype arrived. The DVR is to small.

Here are some picture.

The bad image is because the screen and the camera are broken. But they will work for the prototype.

The line across the screen is the screen and the black dots are the camera.

Oh yes the company who makes the screen have upgrade it to a 4" screen and stoped selling the 3,5" screen.

So I had to redesign the DVR.
